INTRO TO TECHNICAL DESIGN

Service Description

Our one-day Introduction to Technical Design class gives students a foundational look at how fashion designs are translated into clear, production-ready information. Students will be introduced to technical flats, construction details, fabrics and trims, measuring and specing garments, points of measure, and the basic information needed to communicate accurately with manufacturers and production teams. This class is designed as a starting point for students interested in understanding the technical side of fashion and is a great introduction for those considering our more in-depth Two-Week Technical Design course or continuing into our Trade School Certificate Program. Recommended Experience: Basic knowledge of garment construction is helpful, but not required.
